Studio Tonic heads for wine country

Stylish changes are afoot at the popular Novotel Barossa Valley Resort where Studio Tonic have just completed a refurbishment of the hotel lobby.  Studio Tonic co‑owners and Interior Designers, Neroli Hutchinson and Sarah Gamtcheff, introduced a sophisticated chalet influence to the hub of this busy hotel. “We felt that the existing architecture, including cathedral ceiling, feature fire place and rolling views of the Barossa Valley lent itself to a comfortable, home away from home retreat similar, to that of an international holiday lodge,” explained Sarah.

James Murphy, General Manager at Novotel Barossa Valley Resort had a clear vision for the upgrade of the lobby.  The main brief was to provide a clear sense of having “arrived” at your special holiday destination with a fresh and welcoming ambience and an immediate feeling of winding down.

Wallpaper was customised for the project by Vicki Mentjies of Dearwood hand printed wallpapers.  See their range at http://www.dearwood.com.au/. Furniture  was sourced through Aura, Schiavello, Tait, James Richardson and Adelaide Agencies.  Joinery by Gawler Custom Joinery, and Pendants from Instyle Lighting and Paradigm Living.  Photography by Robert James Walters.

LOOKING GOOD!

These images show you the starting point, and part of the build process for Studio Tonic, ably assisted by design student Katy Mills.  Our workspace for building the boards was provided by Neil Toser of Toser Designs, at their amazing joinery workshop at Lonsdale.

THE FINISHED BOARDS INSTALLED - all lined up!

Final touches include identifying graphics to the top fifth of the boards.   The new display boards are already making the selection process more streamlined for Qattro and their clients.

Studio Tonic showcases Wakefield Street Dental Surgery

This small and friendly family dental practice moved to new premises in the city at the end of 2010, after completion of their fabulous new fitout by Sarah and Neroli of Studio Tonic. The brief called for a modern, warm and approachable reception, with high functional requirements in surgery and sterilisation rooms.

Dr Angelo Papageorgiou and his team are enjoying their new premises as much as they enjoyed working with Studio Tonic!
